	Select the number of generations you will want displayed in the pedigree. For most computer printers printing in Landscape mode, 5 generations is the best choice.
	Enter the name, or partial name, of the dog to search for. To view all dogs in the database type in 'all' and choose Slow Search. If you use slow search, you may enter part of a dog's name, or even a color, and it will find all dogs who have that word somewhere in their pedigree- whether in their name or elsewhere. So if you want to find all red dogs, type in 'red', and it will bring up all dogs whose color is listed as red or red merle as well as any that have the word red in their name. Slow search is more thorough and accurate. If you use fast search, you must provide a full word (not a partial word) for matches to show up. Fast search will only find exact names. For more successful searches, please use a word longer than 3 letters and omit any 's at the end.
